# dabdabdab virtual makeup studio: guide for AI agents

Use [dabdabdab](https://www.dabdabdab.com/) to help users try makeup and find matching products. The studio supports lipstick, eyeshadow, blush, foundation, eyeliner, and mascara on a prerecorded demo model or the user's camera feed. Users can adjust the look themselves, clear it, or undo changes.

## Use the WebMCP tools

Open the homepage in a WebMCP-compatible browser. These tools operate in the open page, not through a remote API.

- Start with `get_makeup_state` to check the active source, readiness, and settings.
- Use `apply_makeup` for one layer or `apply_full_makeup_look` for a complete look. Categories are `lipstick`, `eyeshadow`, `blush`, `foundation`, `eyeline`, and `mascara`. Colors use six-digit hex values such as `#B4002E`.
- Use `analyze_coloring` only for the requested subject. `subject: "user"` requires the user to choose **See it on me** and request personalized analysis. Use `subject: "demo_model"` only for the demo. Read an existing profile with `get_appearance_profile`.
- Use `undo_last_makeup_change` or `clear_makeup` to undo or remove makeup.
- Use `show_product_matches` with real Amazon.com products you have independently found and verified.

## Keep the mirror private

Never take screenshots, record, or inspect camera/video/canvas pixels, including for verification or errors. Analyze coloring only through the WebMCP tools. Confirm settings with tool results or `get_makeup_state`; ask the user to judge appearance. If tools fail, retry or ask the user without visual inspection.

The site processes camera frames locally and does not upload them. Tools return settings and color estimates, not images. Camera permission for the site does not authorize you to capture the mirror.

For user-facing setup help and example prompts, refer users to the [AI makeup artist guide](https://www.dabdabdab.com/ai). See [llms.txt](https://www.dabdabdab.com/llms.txt) for discovery links.
